NIAID Security Information

All visitors will be asked to submit to a security screening upon entering the building. Visitors will be required to show one (1) form of identification (a government-issued photo ID, valid U.S. driver's license, passport, green card, etc.). Attendees will be escorted from the security area to the registration desk each morning.

Non-U.S. Visitors: All non-U.S. visitors (lacking a valid U.S. driver's license or other U.S./state government-issued photo identification) must submit a pre-registration form by March 13. Use the following links to access the visitor-initiated NIH Visit Request Form and instructions for completing the form.

Getting to the NIAID Conference Center From Hotels

Shuttle From Bethesda North Marriott: A complimentary shuttle is being provided to transport attendees from the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel to the NIAID Conference Center. The conference center is an 8-minute drive (1.9 miles) from the hotel. The shuttle schedule will be provided closer to the meeting date.

Hilton Rockville Hotel: No shuttle will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to take a taxi/Uber/Lyft or walk to the conference center. The conference center is a 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk (0.6 miles) from hotel.

Getting to the NIAID Conference Center On Your Own

Metrorail/Subway: The NIAID Conference Center is accessible by Metrorail on the Red Line at the Twinbrook Metro Station, which is less than half a mile away. Please visit the Metrorail website to access a system map.

Parking: Visitors should park in the parking lot located next to the multi-level garage. Parking is complimentary. Attendees should inform the guard they are attending the 2024 ADSP Program Review Meeting. Parking tickets must be validated before exiting the building.

The closest airport to hotels is the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA); however, Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) also serve the Washington, DC area.
